LATAR is organising a photography contest to search the best and fascinating photos of our LATAR Expressway. Pick up your camera and snap away for the best photos NOW!

HOW TO ENTER? 

  • You must hit LIKE FB LATAR at www.facebook.com/latar-expressway
  • Participants can snap photos from any locations along the expressway HOWEVER please be reminded that stopping at the Emergency Lane and obstructing traffic flow along the expressway is an offense under the Road Transport Act 1987.
  • Upload your best photos to LATAR FB Fan page with an interesting caption together with your details (name, contact number & email address)! Photos without the details will NOT be nominated for the contest.
  • Participants can also invite their friends to vote for their photo or to participate in the contest.
  • Each participant is allowed to upload three (3) photos for the contest.
  • This contest is open to all Malaysians except staff of KL-Kuala Selangor Expressway Berhad (LATAR Expressway).

 JUDGING CRITERIA 

  • The winners will be selected based on:
  • 50% representing the numbers of ‘Likes’ it receives from LATAR Facebook Fans.
  • 50% representing marks given by the panel of juries from LATAR management.
  • Fans can start voting for their favourite photos by clicking ‘Like’ on the photo. The more ‘Likes’ you get, the better your chance to win great prizes!
  • The decisions of the judges are final and no correspondence will be entertained.

PHOTO FORMAT 

  • Please use the largest possible resolution settings on your camera. You may resize your photos to be uploaded in our FB fan page however please keep the original high resolution size of your photos for our promotional materials purposes.
  • All photos must be in digital format.
  • Your photo must be in colour; dimensions can either be in portrait or landscape orientations.
  • In the event your photos are selected as one of the winners, you are required to submit the original file to LATAR for our promotional materials purposes.

LIABILITY & RESPONSIBILITY

  • Please be reminded that stopping at Emergency Lane and obstructing traffic flow along the expressway is an offense under the Road Transport Act 1987. LATAR shall not be liable for any injuries incurred in the course of the event.
  • Winners shall assume full responsibility for any liability, mishap, injury, damage, claims or accidents (including death) resulting from their participation in this Contest, redemption and/or utilization of the prizes.
  • All transportation, accommodation, personal costs and/or any other costs, fees and/or related expenses incurred is the sole responsibility of the winners.
  • The Organiser is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communication line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorized access or alteration of user communications, or any technical malfunctions of telephone network, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail or traffic congestion on the Internet.

NOTIFICATION OF CONTEST WINNERS 

  • LATAR will announce the winners within 2 weeks after final judgement by the Panel of Juries by publishing the winning photos, along with the captions and photographers’ names on LATAR Facebook page.
  • Winners will also be notified by e-mail or telephone. LATAR shall not be responsible or be liable if any winners are uncontactable.
  • The photography contest winners will receive their prizes at a prize giving ceremony during the event. The date of prize giving ceremony will be advised later.

 IMPORTANT 

  • LATAR reserves the right to modify the contest prizes and its rules and regulations as and when necessary, without prior notice. 
The photographer holds the copyright to the photos submitted, but LATAR retains the unlimited right to use the submitted photos for public information purposes in its efforts to promote the expressway.
