Bina Puri Holdings Bhd ("BPHB") through its associate KL-Kuala Selangor Expressway Berhad ("KLSE") today awarded the Proposed Design and Build Contract for the KL-Kuala Selangor Expressway (KLSE) Package 1 - Assam Jawa to Kundang and Package 2 ¨C Kundang to Taman Rimba Templer to Mudajaya Corporation Berhad ("MJC"), a subsidiary of Mudajaya Group Berhad. The financial commitment is valued at fixed contract sum of Ringgit Malaysia Nine Hundred Fifty Eight Million Only (RM 958,000,000.00).

The contract award was signed today at Wisma Bina Puri, Selayang, Selangor Darul Ehsan. Bina Puri Holdings Bhd and its partner Arena Irama Sdn Bhd were represented by the Group Managing Director, Y.Bhg Tan Sri Datuk Tee Hock Seng and Director, Encik Mohamed Raffe Chekku respectively ; whilst Mudajaya Corporation Berhad by its Managing Director, Mr Ng Ying Loong and Director, Mr Anto Joseph. Also present were Dr Tony Tan Cheng Kiat, Founder Director of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd and representatives from Mudajaya Corporation Bhd.

Bina Puri Holdings Bhd with participating interest of 50 per cent together with its partner, Arena Irama Sdn Bhd is targeting to commence the project physical works by the 3rd Quarter of 2008. The above project is expected to be completed within 30 months. The project was awarded to Mudajaya Corporation Berhad based on competitive tender exercise.

KL-Kuala Selangor Expressway project is expected to create a stable recurring income for Bina Puri Group of Companies. Bina Puri, being a reputable civil contractor and has its own quarry and ready-mix division, could also participate in the construction of the expressway if its price is competitive and acceptable to Mudajaya Corporation Berhad.

With the award of the contract to Mudajaya Corporation Berhad, a well known reliable contractor, we believe that the project will successfully be carried out with quality and timely completion.\n\n KLSE will provide an alternative link road to the present Federal Road 54 from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Selangor. It forms part of the Government planned KL Outer Ring Road (KLORR) which commences from North of Templer Park to Assam Jawa in the District of Kuala Selangor. The expressway is a 33 km dual carriageway. With the completion of the expressway, it will enable the users to shorten traveling time from 2 hours to 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Selangor.
